Washington Legislature Enacts Changes Related to Transportation Network Companies

During its 2022 Regular Session, the Washington State Legislature passed House Bill 2076 to enact several changes to statutory provisions related to Transportation Network Companies ("TNCs").

Among other things, House Bill 2076 now requires that, from the moment a passenger enters the TNC vehicle until they exit, a primary insurance policy must provide underinsured motorist coverage in the amount of $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident. This provision took effect on June 9, 2022.
