  • This position is responsible for effective installation /configuration, operation and maintenance of system hardware and software related infrastructure.
  • Provides desktop computing and printer support.
  • Provide periodic reports of monitoring, asset status and expenses for all information technology.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as the initial point of contact for all computer and system related concerns
  • Act as hotline for other groups in Zendesk
  • Laptop hardware and software setup
  • New hire onboarding / deboarding
  • Assist in imaging and asset management
  • Manage trouble ticket lifecycles within Zendesk helpdesk system
  • Take responsibility for resolution of tickets within skill level
  • Manage workload and user expectations concurrently
  • Support end users both in the office and from remote locations
  • Create user and technical documentation as required
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Communicate results to manager


Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated commitment to Information Technology career path
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Adobe (PDF)
  • Experience with installation of software
  • Ability to troubleshoot application plug-ins
  • Password management support
  • Effectively contributes in a collaborative, team-oriented work environment
  • Presents a positive and professional image
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills


Desktop Support Engineer Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or equivalent work experience
  • Proven work experience as a desktop support engineer or support technician.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer hardware systems, chipsets, memory modules, and peripherals.
  • Knowledge of popular operating systems, software applications, and remote connection systems.
  • Ability to solve complex hardware and software issues.
  • Ability to travel and work after hours when necessary.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.


Learning Opportunities:
