AAIS has filed and received approval of the Certified Loss Terrorism rating for the Commercial Output Program - XL (COP-XL) in Texas.

BACKGROUND

The Texas COP - XL Terrorism filing described in this bulletin consisted of rating information. The Texas COP-XL rating information page Rev 1.0 is attached to this bulletin.

Since the COP-XL program meets the criteria of a "large risk" in Texas, the Terrorism endorsements for COP - XL are exempt from filing requirements. In addition, the Texas Certified Terrorism Loss Rules Supplement (REV 1.0) was released in Bulletin 03-0270.

Bulletin 02-0550 gave information regarding what was needed for compliance with the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act of 2002 and also distributed the Terrorism disclosure notices and endorsements.

The rating information page contains a rating factor used with the AAIS certified loss endorsement.

COMPANY ACTION

The AAIS filing submitted in this state advised the insurance department that the materials may be provided to affiliated companies in an electronic format. The department was informed that due to differences in printer configurations or other hardware or software differences, the cosmetic appearance of the material may be altered slightly when produced by another system without affecting the content.

Companies that are affiliated for the Commercial Output Program - XL can adopt the AAIS rating information by making a reference filing with the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI). Each company must establish its own effective date.
