AAIS Product Advisory - February 7,

Washington - Change to Endorsements
that Exclude Loss Caused by Certified Acts of Terrorism
The state of Washington has
required the deletion of the "anti-concurrent causation"
language found in the endorsements that exclude loss caused by
certified acts of terrorism. New editions (01 03) of the following
endorsements have been created to reflect the required change: AP
0720, BP 0770, CL 0610, CL 0620, FL 0620, FO 0620, GL 0260, GL
0320, UM 0765, and UM 0340. The Web site posting for the state of
Washington has been updated to reflect that the revised
endorsements are applicable.
The 01 03 editions of the
endorsements listed above will be distributed to all AAIS
affiliates for the state of Washington in a Bulletin dated
February 14, 2003. That bulletin and its attachments will be
posted to the AAIS open Web site by February 14th.
The Washington Insurance Department
has specified that all policies issued with a 12 02 edition of one
of the endorsements listed above must be amended to include the 01
03 edition counterpart. The effective date of the change must
coincide with the policy effective date.
Refer to the AAIS Web site posting
for the state of Washington to determine the company action
requirements for each affected line of insurance: http://www.aaisonline.com/terror/WA.htm
