AAIS-HSB WEB SEMINAR 
SCHEDULED FOR WEDNESDAY

Staff specialists from AAIS and The Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection & Insurance Co. (HSB) will conduct a joint Web-based seminar Feb. 2 on identifying and insuring equipment breakdown exposures in agriculture. The seminar will begin at 1 p.m. Central time (2 p.m. Eastern) and last approximately one hour.

AAIS and HSB recently collaborated on development of equipment breakdown coverage parts for the AAIS Farmowners, Farm Properties, and Agricultural Output Programs. Companies affiliated with AAIS for use of those programs can sign up for the seminar here

The seminar presenters will be:

  • Paul Henault, HSB vice president;

  • Kristi Roberge, HSB assistant vice president for underwriting; and

  • Deborah Summerlin, AAIS vice president for insurance lines.


SEVEN ORGANIZATIONS SIGN UP AS
FIRST AAIS ASSOCIATE MEMBERS

Seven reinsurers and software vendors are the first organizations to sign up for AAIS associate memberships, a new service package that gives them access to AAIS product information and opportunities to promote their services to primary companies that use AAIS programs.

The seven organizations are:

  • Farmers Mutual Hail Ins. Co., Des Moines, Iowa;

  • GE Reinsurance, Barrington, Ill.;

  • GenRe, Stamford, Conn.;

  • The Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection & Insurance Co., Hartford, Conn.;

  • Insurity Software Co., Hartford, Conn.;

  • Results International Systems, Worthington, Ohio; and

  • Town and Country Computer Services, Schenectady, N. Y.

GRAY WOLF INSURANCE SEMINARS OFFERS
"AAIS PERSONAL LINES UNDERWRITING ACADEMY"

Gray Wolf Insurance Seminars is offering an "AAIS Personal Lines Underwriting Academy" Feb. 7-11 in Pittsburgh, Pa. The five-day program will provide in-depth descriptions of forms and manuals in AAIS personal lines programs. People who sign up for the 2005 AAIS Annual Conference by Feb. 11 will receive a discount on the registration fee.
