Wheaton, Ill., Jan. 6, 2011--Member insurance companies of the American Association of Insurance Services (AAIS) now have access to additional risk information services through AAIS's proprietary web portal.

AAIS is a national advisory organization that develops standardized policy forms and rating information used by more than 600 P/C companies throughout the U.S.

This week, AAIS implemented its "AAISalliance" of information providers accessible through the newly redesigned AAISdirect online library of policy forms, manuals, bulletins, and other information.

With the AAISalliance, AAIS member companies can access information services through AAISdirect at discounted rates.

"The AAISalliance allows each individual AAIS member company to access these services with the purchasing power of our collective membership," says Rick Maka, AAIS director of marketing and strategic alliances. "This initiative is directly in line with our mission of helping our member insurance companies compete in the market."

To date, the alliance includes four other organizations that will remain independent but provide AAIS member companies with information services under arrangements with AAIS.

e2Value, Stamford, Conn., a full-service application development, insurance consulting and technology provider, has made its insurance-to-value services available through AAISdirect for several years.

"e2Value’s long relationship with AAIS and its members makes it only natural for us to want to continue it under this new alliance," says Debbie Wagner, e2Value's vice president of sales. "This new alliance will build on our existing relationship by offering AAIS member companies additional benefits and features of e2Value programs."

MarketStance, Middletown, Conn, delivers timely, accurate, and complete market information, analytics, and consulting services to commercial insurers.

"MarketStance is excited by the opportunities the AAISalliance presents for us to deliver access to our industry-leading solutions to AAIS member companies," says Adam Edelstein, MarketStance's chief operating officer. "Actionable, accessible information has strategic and tactical value for every insurer."

Overland Solutions, Inc. (OSI), Overland Park, Kan., provides a platform of services including premium audit, commercial and residential surveys, and loss control consulting, as well as custom services.

“AAIS provides a knowledgeable forum of staff experts who keep abreast of trends and issues facing our industry," says Jeffery L. Haniewich, OSI's chief executive officer. "AAIS members appreciate the value of information, and Overland Solutions empowers their decision-making.”

RiskMeter, Middletown, Conn., provides desktop matching software for determining a risk's proximity to natural hazards, as well as other information.

"The AAISalliance will give companies of all sizes access to cutting edge tools and services," says Jamie Munson, director of consulting services for Boston-based CDS Business Mapping, which owns RiskMeter. ""With access to more than 35 natural hazard reports, front end AAL and PML modeling, and a cost effective infrastructure plan, Risk Meter is helps companies achieve their premium and underwriting goals."
