Wheaton, Ill., Jan. 2,
2009—A national insurance advisory organization
has added audio commentaries by its staff
specialists to its online library of policy
forms, manuals, and program bulletins.
The American Association of
Insurance Services (AAIS) has added new "Direct
Tips" to its AAISdirect Internet service.
AAIS is a property/casualty advisory
organization that develops policy forms and
rating information used by more than 600 P/C
companies of all sizes throughout the U.S.
"Direct Tips" are brief
comments written and narrated by AAIS staff
specialists and embedded in documents. Some
commentaries provide quick summaries of more
detailed information; others direct users to
additional resources on AAISdirect and
elsewhere.
The service was launched
with the posting of audio files providing tips
applicable countrywide for users of the AAIS
Businessowners and Homeowners programs, as well
as state-specific information for Arizona,
Delaware, Illinois, and Louisiana.
"Additional 'Direct Tips'
will be added on a regular basis to enrich the
content on AAISdirect," says Paul
Baiocchi, AAIS president. "Eventually, they will
provide extensive commentary across lines and
states.
"By directing users to
relevant information, the tips will reduce or
eliminate the need to search for such
information," Baiocchi says. "In addition, users
will be prompted to consider other value-added
steps, such as adding a coverage option that
they may not have considered otherwise"
