Wheaton, Ill., March 17, 2008—George Dale, who
served more than 30 years as insurance
commissioner of Mississippi, will speak on
political issues affecting property/casualty
insurers in an appearance at the "Main
Event," an executive conference sponsored by
the American Association of Insurance Services
(AAIS).
AAIS is a national advisory organization that
develops policy forms and rating information
used by more than 600 property/casualty insurers
throughout the U.S. Its 2008 Main Event

Dale, who won eight consecutive terms, was the
nation's longest serving insurance commissioner
before being defeated in a party primary in
2007. His Main Event overview of political
issues affecting insurance underwriting will
serve as a lead-in to a panel of four company
CEOs who will offer their reaction to comments
from him and other Main Event speakers. Those
speakers include:

of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, will
speak on "Ten Important Long-Term Trends for the
Economy."

the firm Cozen O'Connor, will speak on

Jeff Kucera, consulting actuary
with EMB America, will speak on "The Growth and
Evolution of Rating Variables."

national practice leader for network risk,
technology, and telecommunications, will speak
on "Underwriting E-commerce Insurance."

Robert Healy, senior vice
president of ABS Consulting, which owns the
catastrophe modeling firm EQECAT, will speak on
"Catastrophe Modeling."

addition, there will be presentations by AAIS
