Wheaton, Ill., Jan. 23, 2008—Insurers can
register now for the second annual "Main Event"
conference of the American Association of
Insurance Services (AAIS), scheduled for April
20-22 at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club, Ponte Vedra
Beach, Fla.
AAIS is a national advisory organization that
develops policy forms and rating information
used by more than 600 property/casualty insurers
throughout the U.S. The Main Event is an
executive conference devoted to discussing
product-related issues of strategic importance
to property/casualty insurers. The inaugural
Main Event was held in 2007, growing out of the
former AAIS annual conference.
The
2008 Main Event features several speakers
focusing on the type of product-related topics
the meeting is designed to address:

Josh Greenbaum, an attorney with
the renowned insurance defense firm Cozen
O'Connor, will speak on "Hazardous Imports and
Products Liability."

Jeff Kucera, consulting actuary
with EMB America, will speak on "The Growth and
Evolution of Rating Variables."
·
Robert Parisi, Marsh USA's
national practice leader for network risk,
technology, and telecommunications, will speak
on "Underwriting E-commerce Insurance."
In
addition, an executive from EQECAT, one of the
nation's leading catastrophe modeling firms,
will speak on the progress made by modelers over
recent years, and the challenges they still face
meeting the expectations of insurers and public
officials.
Other prominent political and industry speakers
