Wheaton, Illinois, Nov. 17,
2006--The American Association of Insurance Services
(AAIS) is sponsoring a new national meeting
concentrating on strategic concerns related to the
development and maintenance of property/casualty
insurance products.
The meeting is called "The AAIS
Main Event: Where insurance leaders come together to
explore product issues, discuss solutions, exchange
ideas . . ."
The 2007 Main Event, scheduled
for April 22-24 in Charleston, S.C., grows out of
and supplants the former AAIS annual conference. The
conference program, now in the final planning
stages, will be focused on product-related issues of
strategic importance to CEOs and heads of
operational units.
The Mills House Hotel in
downtown Charleston is the setting for the Main
Event, and other conference events partake of the
rich history of the area.
A spouse/guest tour is planned
for Middleton Place, the richly landscaped estate of
one of South Carolina's most prominent families in
the period from the American Revolution through the
Civil War.
The closing reception and dinner
will take place in The Old Exchange & Provost
Dungeon, a beautifully restored 18th century
structure that has served as a post office, customs
house, and pirate prison.

event, contact Joseph Harrington, AAIS director of
