Under the new AAIS Yacht Program and the existing AAIS Boatowners Program, insurers can write streamlined property and/or liability coverage on eligible watercraft, either as a stand-alone policy or as an endorsement to a personal lines policy. Each of these two programs is available for no additional charge to companies with paid affiliations for either one of them. Boatowners affiliates can have access to the Yacht Program, and vice versa. In addition, the Boat and Outboard Motor class under the AAIS Personal Inland Marine Program (PIM) provides forms and rating information for writing property and limited liability coverage for small craft such as canoes, kayaks, rowboats, and boats designed to propelled by outboard motors, as well as the motors themselves.
