2012 AAIS Main Event

Registration is now open for the 2012 AAIS Main Event conference, April 15-17 at The Lodge at Torrey Pines in La Jolla, Calif.

Register by March 1 to qualify for the "early bird" discount for this valuable conference featuring executive-level presentations on product-related topics of strategic importance for property/casualty insurers.

Attendance at the Main Event has grown steadily over the years, nearly doubling over the past decade.

Executives, department heads, and other managers at P/C companies--whether they are members of AAIS or not--are invited to join their peers from other companies for the engaging, informative presentations and discussions.

Joining them will be representatives of reinsurers, software vendors, and other organizations, including those that are AAIS associate members.

Our program

The theme of this year's Main Event, "Seeing Your Way Through," addresses the need for insurers to react quickly and effectively to new conditions following a year of widespread catastrophe losses.

Our program features:

• A half-day devoted to issues arising from weather catastrophes
• A renowned demographer and insurance researcher discussing demographic trends and their impact on homeowners insurance
•  An inland marine track exploring the development of analytics in that line
• AAIS staff reporting on AAIS product developments and leading roundtable discussions

In addition to the traditional receptions, breakfasts, Tuesday lunch, and Tuesday evening dinner, the 2012 Main Event features four events:

• A Monday afternoon golf outing on the renowned Torrey Pines Golf Course;

• A choice of two Monday afternoon alternatives to golf:
  --A sailing trip on the America's Cup ship Stars & Stripes, or
  --A tram tour through the San Diego Zoo Safari Park

• A guest/spouse tour on Tuesday through Old Town San Diego, with lunch at El Agave Tequileria.
