Filed Inland Marine Programs

AAIS maintains three programs of forms, manual rules, and rating information for the traditionally filed classes of inland marine insurance.

Personal Inland Marine

The Personal Inland Marine Program Provides a wide range of personal "floaters" that allow carriers to write specific insurance for valuable personal property.

This program includes forms, rules, and rating information for more than 15 personal classes.

  • Bicycles
  • Boats and Outboard Motors
  • Cameras
  • Coin Collections
  • Fine Arts
  • Furs
  • Golf Cart
  • Golf Equipment
  • Grounds Care Vehicle
  • Jewelry
  • Mobility Assistance Vehicle
  • Musical Instruments
  • Personal Effects
  • Personal Property
  • Silverware
  • Snowmobile
  • Stamps

As with AAIS's forms for the nonfiled classes, forms in these programs have common inland marine conditions built into them, eliminating the need for bridge endorsements.

The forms can be packaged with other AAIS and non-AAIS forms, or written as stand-alone policies.

Commercial Inland Marine

The Commercial Inland Marine Program gives insurers a comprehensive collection of commercial inland marine products whose format and language are consistent with those found in the Inland Marine Guide.

The filed program features these standard filed classes:

  • Accounts Receivable
  • Camera and Musical Instrument Dealers
  • Floor Plan Merchandise
  • Jewelry Dealers
  • Mobile Equipment Dealers (formerly Implement Dealers)
  • Musical Instruments
  • Negative Film
  • Photographic Equipment
  • Physicians and Dentists Equipment
  • Signs
  • Theatrical Property
  • Valuable Papers and Records

Farm Inland Marine

The Farm Inland Marine Program provides standardized forms and rating information for insuring three classes of agricultural exposures:

  • Farm Machinery;
  • Livestock; and
  • Farm Irrigation Equipment.

While the language in the Farm Inland Marine forms addresses both family farms and commercial farming ventures, the policy provisions are patterned primarily after those used in commercial lines.
