The latest edition of the AAIS Inland Marine Cause of Loss Report is now available free of charge on AAISdirect to insurers that use AAIS inland marine and output programs, or who report inland marine premium and loss experience to AAIS.
The report, which has been published annually for decades, provides data on premiums and losses for more than 40 classes of inland marine insurance. Results are available for calendar year 2014 and cumulatively for 2010-14.
For each class, losses are categorized by nine causes of loss: fire, extended perils, collision, breakage/collapse/landslide, burglary/robbery, marine perils, theft/disappearance, and water/flood.
Companies not affiliated with AAIS for inland marine programs can purchase the report by filling out the online order form and return it by email to Rick Maka, AAIS director of marketing and strategic alliances.
AAIS Advisory notices are posted periodically to announce AAIS product developments, and to provide news items that are relevant to our program users. Advisory notices are news summaries that paraphrase documents which should be consulted directly for complete, authoritative information.
