Veteran Ag Specialist Joins AAIS as Farm and Ag Manager

Nov. 16, 2015 AAIS Advisory notice

Robin Souza, CPCU, AFIS, a well-known leader in agricultural insurance, has joined AAIS as its new product manager for farm and agribusiness programs.

Robin comes to AAIS from ACE Agribusiness, and previously served in agricultural insurance underwriting, loss control, and management positions with The Hartford, Commercial Union, CalFarm/Allied/Nationwide, Sequoia Ins. Co., and QBE.

Among her many accomplishments, Robin led the implementation of a complete new farm program for Sequoia. That project entailed development of new policy forms, manual rules, and rates, plus execution of state filings and automation support.

“We are thrilled to add Robin to our AAIS team, and serving as the manager of our farm and ag business, a key product suite,” stated Leslie Rippley, vice president of commercial, farm, and agribusiness lines.

“Robin’s expertise ranges from hobby farms to large agricultural enterprises.
"Her background aligns well with the spectrum of programs we provide to agricultural insurers, and she greatly enhances our bench strength for farm and ag talent.”

Robin holds numerous insurance designations, including those as Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist (AFIS). She also teaches for the AFIS program, and has authored its “farm foundations” course.

Robin will be based in Fresno, Calif. and available by email.
