IIABA President Robert Rusbuldt to Address 2016 Main Event

Robert Rusbuldt, president and CEO of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America (IIABA), will be the keynote speaker at the 2016 AAIS Main Event conference, April 24-36 in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. He will be speaking on important topics for agents and carriers, and offer some observations on the political climate for insurers in 2016.

Rusbuldt joined the IIABA in 1986 after having worked for the American Insurance Association and as a staff member for U.S. Rep. Carroll Campbell (R-SC). He became president and CEO of the IIABA in 2001.

During his tenure at IIABA, Rusbuldt has been recognized as a leading lobbyist and expert on issues in taxation, banking, insurance, and financial services, He appears regularly on FOX News, CNN, CNBC, Bloomberg, Washington’s CBS affiliate WUSA-TV, Washington’s News Channel 8.

The Main Event is a highly-regarded executive conference devoted to product-related issues of strategic importance to property/casualty insurers. Attendees include senior executives and department heads of primary insurance companies, plus representatives of reinsurers, service vendors, and other insurance organizations.

The 2016 Main Event will be held at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club, a popular venue and site of the Main Event in 2008, 2011, and 2013. Conference reports on previous Main Events are available online.
