Truman Esmond, AAIS vice president of customer engagement, will speak on "Customer Engagement for Underwriting Profit" at the Fall 2015 meeting of the Underwriting Executives Council (UEC), Nov. 4-6 in Tucson, Ariz.

The meeting is open to members of the UEC, an organization whose purpose is to improve members’ overall knowledge of the insurance industry through education.

Membership in the UEC is limited to professionals working for primary insurers, reinsurers, and educational organizations serving the property/casualty industry. Individuals can contact Brian Corbett, a UEC board member, for information about the organization.

As vice president of customer engagement, Truman Esmond oversees AAIS’s marketing and product delivery functions, and has been instrumental in developing the AAIS Underwriting Platform, a cloud-based application for the underwriting and rating of polices based on AAIS programs.

Truman came to AAIS in November 2012 from Red Door Interactive, a firm that specializes in developing marketing communications across digital and traditional media. Truman served as a managing director for Red Door after that firm acquired Breckenridge Communications, an applications development company Esmond founded and led for 12 years.

Truman is a graduate of Colorado State University in Fort Collins, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing.
