Sharon Kent Joins AAIS as Onboarding Specialist for Farm/Ag and Commercial Lines

Aug. 27, 2015 AAIS Advisory notice

Sharon Kent, who has spent nearly three decades in numerous functions in property/casualty insurance, has joined AAIS as a product analyst and onboarding specialist for agricultural and commercial lines of insurance.

Before joining AAIS, Sharon worked for 28 years for Auto-Owners Ins. Co., Lansing, Mich. Her tenure included 17 years in managerial roles in the company's branch underwriting, corporate underwriting, human resources, marketing, and information technology divisions. During that time, Sharon had experience as a customer of AAIS for the Inland Marine Guide.

As an onboarding specialist for AAIS, Sharon will help insurers adopt and implement AAIS policy forms, manual rules, and rating information, and to utilize the AAIS Underwriting Platform as it is extended to AAIS agricultural and commercial programs. Sharon’s initial focus will be the support of AAIS farm and agricultural products and customers, and she will steadily expand her role to support of AAIS commercial lines, as well.

Sharon reports to Leslie Rippley, AAIS vice president of commercial lines, who also oversees AAIS farm and agricultural programs.

Sharon has a degree in marketing and business management from Northwood University in Midland, Mich., and is currently pursuing the designation of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter. She is based in the Lansing area.
